Discover Meubles Arboit Poitras (MAP)
MAP (Arboit-Poitras) is a long-standing family affair in the community of L’Épiphanie. At the time, they were two separate companies, Meubles Arboit and Meubles Poitras, both founded in L’Épiphanie.
ARBOIT
Founded in 1951 by Maurice Verstraete, Meubles Arboit set itself apart by manufacturing affordable furniture. His son Frank took over the business in 1966, followed by his grandson Benoît in 1989. A business transfer to the 4th generation is now in place since 2019. Throughout its history, Meubles Arboit has distinguished itself and enjoyed success thanks to its aggressive pricing and the simplicity of its birch products, offered with a multitude of options.
POITRAS
In 1967, Frank Verstraete helped a good friend, Mr. Robert Poitras, start Meubles Poitras, a manufacturer of solid ash furniture. Superior product quality and highly sought-after styles and designs have helped Meubles Poitras build its reputation for over 40 years.
Today, Meubles Arboit Poitras is proud to bring together these two pillars of the Quebec furniture industry since 2010. The experience, expertise and passion of our employees have been reflected in the furniture we offer our customers for all these years.
Recognized experience
Over the years, MAP has built its reputation on the use of 2 types of wood: birch and ash.
BIRCH
The durability and finesse of birch are highly prized aspects of woodworking. It’s a wood that adds character and elegance, and its uniform finish reveals all its simplicity in our furniture.
ASH
This superb cabinet wood is characterized by its many variations in color and grain. These variations are normal features that underline the natural beauty of our furniture. To maintain the superior standard of our products, MAP (Arboit-Poitras) selects only top-quality wood.
